As Vice President of Government Relations at Virtua Health, Cort Adelman is responsible for setting the strategic priorities for Virtua’s advocacy program, working with federal, state, and local public officials as well as key stakeholders to improve the health and wellbeing of the community.
Prior to joining Virtua Health, Cort was Director of Government Affairs at WellCare Health Plans, Inc., a Fortune 500 company exclusively focused on providing Medicaid and Medicare benefits and one of New Jersey’s five Medicaid MCOs. Previously, Cort was Deputy Director, State Government Affairs for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, responsible for the company’s advocacy on state legislative and regulatory matters. Cort served on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Association of Health Plans and was chair of the association’s Medicaid Committee.
