Gopika SenthilKumar is a 6th year MD-PhD student at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the current Chair of Association of Women Surgeons National Medical Student Committee. She has conducted a wide variety of translational and educational research in medicine and has to-date published 60+ peer reviewed articles and abstracts. Through her role within Association of Women Surgeons leadership, she has helped implement national level mentorship programs for URiM female medical students, helps coordinates scientific sessions as well as a K12 outreach event at the annual national conferences, and overall advocates for initiatives that better support and promote female trainees in surgery.
