In this interactive workshop, participants learn a set of evidence-based competencies to restore their sense of purpose and change outcomes through the common best practice of nurse leader rounding. Through a review of current evidence about rounding and development of new skills – including a way to evaluate the impact of a round in real time (W.I.N. Model©)  – coupled with reflection and practice, this long held and cumbersome “to-do” item is discovered as the “foundation and the fix” for nurse leaders. Participants leave with a newfound confidence about the value of rounds and the process to accomplish them efficiently … and effectively. You will:

Frontline healthcare leadership is an increasingly complex and demanding role which is often filled by early-career managers with large spans of control. To support the success of healthcare leaders, a framework was developed that provides pragmatic, actionable guidance for leaders. By identifying 25 areas of Leader Standard Work or “Leader Inspired Work,” the framework aims to help leaders save time, reduce administrative burdens, and clarify priorities.
