From Personal Loss to Global Impact: Celebrating a Decade of Change at ICD

I am incredibly honored to announce the 10th anniversary of International Conference Development (ICD). Reflecting on this milestone, I’m reminded of the deeply personal journey that led me to start this company. Losing my mother to cancer at a young age profoundly shaped my perspective on healthcare. I experienced firsthand the shortcomings and challenges in the system—the lack of coordination, the barriers to care, and the emotional toll it took on our family. That loss planted a seed in me, a determination to make a difference, and over time, it became the driving force behind ICD.

When I founded ICD, my hope was simple: to create a space where people who, like me, understood the need for change could come together to address the inefficiencies and gaps in the healthcare system. I wanted to give voice to those who had solutions and innovations but needed a platform to share them. What started as a personal mission to honor my mother’s memory and prevent others from experiencing the same frustrations has grown into a global network of healthcare leaders working together to improve the system from the inside out.

Over the past decade, ICD has hosted hundreds of conferences that have sparked meaningful conversations and built partnerships across the industry. From advancing the patient experience, addressing healthcare burnout, and embracing digital health innovations, we’ve brought together some of the brightest minds to tackle the most pressing issues. But at its core, ICD has always been about more than just conferences—it’s about fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. It’s about creating a space where change can happen because we’re all working toward a better future in healthcare.

As we celebrate this anniversary, I feel an immense sense of gratitude. To everyone who has been part of this journey—thank you. Your support, ideas, and collaboration have helped turn a personal dream into something far bigger than I ever imagined. While the path ahead still holds many challenges, I’m filled with hope and optimism for what we can continue to accomplish together.

Here’s to the next ten years of impact, innovation and transformation!
