Dr. Murillo is a general surgery resident at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). She is currently completing a two-year NIH funded research fellowship at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Her projects include improving methodology for large database research, examining disparities in surgical outcomes, and measuring specialist collaboration. At BMC, she spearheaded a study to assess surgeons’ hospital at home (HaH) awareness and evaluate their perspectives on integrating HaH into postoperative care, which was recently published in Journal of Surgical Research. She hopes to continue advancing HaH into the perioperative space upon her return to clinical activities at BIDMC.
