Dr Gomez-DiCesare is a career-long advocate for vulnerable patients and an ardent champion for clinician wellbeing. As a child sexual abuse examiner, Dr. Gomez-DiCesare considers trauma-informed-care essential to her practice. Dr. Gomez-DiCesare established the nation’s first multi-discipline, multi-institutional clinician peer-support program (PSP). She was integral to launching the statewide physician PSP through the Medical Society of the State of NY (MSSNY). Dr. Gomez-DiCesare was a founding member of the MSSNY Committee for Physician Well-Being and Resiliency and a Well-Being Champion with the American College of Physicians. She is an associate professor at the Augusta University / University of Georgia Medical Partnership.
