Danielle Blanch-Hartigan, PhD, MPH is Executive Director of the Center for Health and Business and Associate Professor in the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at Bentley University in Waltham, MA. Dr. Blanch-Hartigan holds a PhD in Psychology from Northeastern University, an MPH from Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health and completed postdoctoral training as a Cancer Prevention Fellow in the Behavioral Research Program and Office of Cancer Survivorship at the National Cancer Institute.
Her interdisciplinary research in psychology and public health aims to improve the patient care experience through better communication with healthcare providers. She studies how patients and providers use verbal and nonverbal behavior to form impressions and how these perceptions are influenced by interpersonal characteristics, such as gender.
