Desiree Burroughs-Ray, MD, MPH

Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics University of Tennessee Health Science Center

Dr. Desiree Burroughs-Ray is an associate professor of internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). She earned her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and concurrently obtained her Masters of Public Health. She completed her internal medicine-pediatrics residency and chief residency at UTHSC. Dr. Burroughs-Ray currently serves as the associate program director for the internal medicine-pediatrics residency and is the Graduate Medical Education Wellness Sub-Committee co-chair. As a combined Internal Medicine-Pediatric hospitalist, Dr. Burroughs-Ray is passionate about improving learner and faculty feedback, promoting physician wellness and teaching evidence-based medicine.
