Kathryn Macaulay, MD, is Clinical Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences OB/GYN and has been on faculty at UC San Diego Health since 1999. Dr. Macaulay’s expertise is in caring for menopausal women and she is Director the UCSD Menopause Health program that she developed in 2004. She instructs medical students, residents, and fellows. Her research interests include menopause care in women at high risk for breast cancer, improving menopause education for healthcare providers, and health needs assessment for women in midlife and menopause. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. She earned her certification as a certified menopause practitioner from the North American Menopause Society.
