Mark Hennessey is the Director of the New York State Department of Health’s Center for Healthcare Provider Services and Oversight and is also currently serving as the President of the Association of Health Facility Survey Agencies, a national organization representing state survey agencies.
In his State capacity, he has worked for 9 years leading provider surveillance activities at the New York State Department of Health and also running data collection activities for providers. He is currently working on an automated capacity measurement system. This work follows 6 years prior experience with the New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General. In previous roles he held a series of roles in the New York State Assembly and was an expert on cyber security, technology, personal privacy and information management systems.
