Meredith Stewart Tweedie currently serves as the Vice President of Government Affairs, Policy & Regulatory Strategy for Christiana Care. Meredith is responsible for leading the Government Affairs team and advancing the health system’s policy, legislative and regulatory advocacy strategy at the federal level and in the States of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey. Meredith also serves as a legal and regulatory strategy advisor to health system executives on policy and governance issues, including Certificate of Need and licensing questions, telehealth and digital health issues, joint venture negotiations, value-based payment arrangements and accountable care structures.
Meredith serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN), Delaware’s Health Information Exchange. Meredith also serves on the Policy Committee of the Delaware Health Care Association.
Meredith’s background includes significant executive leadership experience in State government, including serving as the Chief Legal Counsel and Health Care Policy Advisor to former Delaware Governor Jack Markell. Meredith also served as the State Solicitor to former Delaware Attorney General Matt Denn, leading the ninety (90) member Civil Division. Meredith also served as the leader of former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden’s newly created Health Law Unit, and as the Deputy Unit Head of the Fraud & Consumer Protection Division.
