Millicent Gorham, MBA, is the CEO of the Alliance for Women’s Health and Prevention (AWHP), having previously served as Chair of its Board. She was the Executive Director of Movement is Life, a nonprofit addressing health disparities through mobility and physical activity, and led the National Black Nurses Association for over 25 years, overseeing advocacy, fund development, and programming for 308,000 nurses nationwide.
With 35+ years in government relations, she has held key roles with the Congressional Black Caucus Health Brain Trust and the American Optometric Association. She serves on advisory boards for Simmons University, Brown University, Yale, Pfizer, and Coca-Cola.
A recipient of multiple leadership awards, including the National Black Nurses Association Lifetime Achievement Award, Millicent holds an MBA from Howard University and an honorary doctorate from Simmons College.
