Professor Berklee College of Music

Professor Mimi Rabson has distinguished herself as one of Boston’s most creative and versatile musicians. She is a first-prize winner of the Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship in composition. Her compositions and arrangements have been published by StringLetter Press (distributed by Hal Leonard). Her published works include arrangements of Duke Ellington, James Brown and Cole Porter as well as her originals. Her newest book for Hal Leonard/Berklee Press, Berklee Violin Arpeggios, Chords and Etudes, was released in 2023. She co-wrote The Berklee Practice Method for violin and for viola with Matt Glaser. She has performed with Joel Grey, Itzhak Perlman, The Klezmer Conservatory Band, Stevie Wonder, Kristin Chenoweth, Meatloaf, Page and Plant, and Ann Rabson. She is a sought-after music clinician helping young artists develop their individual voices.
