Dr. Molly Tolins is an Emergency Medicine physician and the founder and director of the Peer Outreach Support Team (POST) Program within Kaiser Permanente Northern California. After completing her residency at the University of Washington, she pursued a fellowship in Patient Safety at Kaiser Permanente, focusing on provider wellbeing, burnout, and their impact on patient safety and career longevity. She founded the POST Program to address the challenges physicians face in accessing emotional support after adverse events or workplace stress. What began as a grassroots initiative in two hospitals has now expanded into a multi-specialty program spanning 16 hospitals and has resulted in a key publication highlighting the effectiveness of such a program.
