Dr. Miller is board-certified in general surgery and hospice and palliative medicine. Apart from her clinical practice, Dr. Miller is an advocate for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. In 2020 she founded the 501(c)3 advocacy organization Physician Just Equity (PJE). PJE provides peer support to trainees and attendings navigating workplace conflicts. A 2023 Research Letter (rdcu.be/c7DLH) published in the Journal of General Internal Medicine describes this innovative and novel peer support service. PJE was awarded the 2024 AMWA Brodsky Research Grant for the project entitled: The Impact of Workplace Injustices on the Employment Status of Women in Medicine.
