Raed A. Dweik, M.D., M.B.A. is Chair of Pulmonary and Critical Care and Chief of the Integrated Hospital Care Institute (IHI) at Cleveland Clinic, overseeing more than 4,000 caregivers and 1,200 physicians across Ohio, Florida, London, and Abu Dhabi. IHI uniquely unites Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Pulmonary-Critical Care, Infectious Disease, and Anesthesiology. Board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care, Dr. Dweik focuses on pulmonary hypertension, asthma, and critical care. He has received continuous NIH funding since 2002, authored over 300 publications, and pioneered exhaled breath analysis in lung and systemic diseases. His nitric oxide research has advanced understanding of asthma and pulmonary hypertension. A Fellow of multiple societies, he is President of the American Thoracic Society (2025–2026).
