Robert Anderson

Robert Anderson is a assistant professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota within the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care. He received his undergraduate degree in nursing from Luther College (Decorah, IA) and then pursued doctoral studies as a nurse practitioner at the University of Illinois Chicago. His clinical expertise lies in multi-specialty intensive care and lung cancer screening/diagnosis/management. His academic pursuits include development of an immersive patient education methodology to improve patient experience and outcomes, ultrasound-guided vascular access, and early mobility in the intensive care unit. In addition, he translates challenges identified at the bedside to solutions through medical device development through patent-protected technologies. Speaking and educating nationally and internationally, his mission is to retain the humanity of healthcare and always remember that being entrusted by patients as their care provider is an honor never to be taken lightly.
