Dr. Phillips (she/her) is the Chief Health Officer at Joyous. This technology company facilitates human conversations at scale and leverages AI to drive operational improvement by gathering great ideas for action from those closest to the work. Shannon, a previous health system executive, has led system functions in safety, quality, experience, and medical group operations across several large delivery systems. She designed and led Intermountain Health’s Office of Patient Experience serving the system with leadership and expertise in experience, safety and quality starting with the experience of care and caring. She has been a Becker’s Healthcare ‘CXO to Know’ and ‘Patient Safety Expert to Know.’ She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Quality Forum and has been a visiting professor and invited consultant to organizations in the U.S. and beyond.
