Shelly Xie, MD, MA is deeply passionate about the intersections of medicine/health, the arts, and society in advancing holistic well-being, medical education, and health communication and advocacy. With experience in developing innovative, health humanities and arts-based initiatives and curricula, she has presented nationally and internationally on topics related to medical education, patient, practitioner, and trainee well-being, and creative approaches to health communication. A published multidisciplinary artist with a graduate degree in arts in medicine, she actively collaborates on interdisciplinary projects that integrate creativity with evidence-based strategies to support individual and community health, professional development, and patient care.
