Stephanie M. Volpe, PA-C, is the Senior Surgical APP Manager & Interim APP Director for Mass General Brigham Home Hospital and serves as Senior APP Manager for the Surgical and Nocturnist clinical service lines. She brings 19 years of inpatient surgical experience in Trauma/Acute Care Surgery and extensive leadership experience in advanced practice provider operations, clinical program development, and surgical care delivery.

Stephanie has been instrumental in designing and operationalizing the Surgical Home Hospital clinical service line. Her work included developing clinical pathways, building the APP team structure, creating targeted education for frontline staff, and partnering with surgeons across the Mass General Brigham system to expand surgical care in the home setting for over 450 surgical patients to date. She has also helped develop the Nocturnist APP program to support 24-hour patient care.

In her current role, Stephanie leads APP strategy and operations across the Mass General Brigham Home Hospital, supervising two APP managers and a team of 43 APPs. She collaborates closely with clinical and operational leadership to align APP practice with organizational, strategic, financial, and operational goals. Her work is grounded in patient safety, process improvement, mentorship, and innovation in care delivery.
