Dr. Xin (David) Ding is Dean’s Research Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Supply Chain Management at Rutgers Business School. His research examines healthcare’s demand–supply dynamics, focusing on operational excellence, supply chain innovation, and data-driven technologies. He has partnered with hospitals, health agencies, and industry on NSF-supported projects, with work published in leading journals including Journal of Operations Management and Decision Sciences. An Associate Editor for both, Dr. Ding is also an academic scholar at Cornell’s Institute for Healthy Futures and chairs the 56th Decision Sciences Annual Conference, advancing healthcare supply chain resilience in the digital era.
