Zayn Gerakitis, MD

Dr. Zayn M. Gerakitis is Founder & Principal of Firebird Surgical Consultants | PSE, LLC of Atlanta, GA whose mission it is to support nontraditional surgeons in regaining their clinical autonomy through innovative practice modalities. She currently serves as Co-President of AMWA-PATH (American Medical Women’s Association-Physicians Against the trafficking of Humans) leading the drive for interorganizational collaboration in the realms of advocacy, education, and research to expand awareness and clinical expertise at the intersection of healthcare and human trafficking. With a foundation in clinical bioethics cultivated by Georgetown University Kennedy Institute of Ethics and Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics scholars, Dr. Gerakitis strives each day to shape the moral fabric of the practice of medicine.
