Predictive Analytics Platforms
A Look Under the HoodThis session will delve into and dissolve the mystique surrounding the modeling and application of predictive analytics. It will provide a look “under the hood” of how a standard model of prediction works in a technical and practical sense. The proprietary predictive models used today are heavily based on a time tested and accepted framework of rigorous science that will be demonstrated in this presentation. A plethora of areas within supply chain exist where a predictive model can be applied. With so many service organizations jumping into the field, it is important to have an understanding of what goes into a prediction, so you are able to properly vet your pool of consulting service provider candidates and ensure good decision making. A better understanding of the inner workings of the base calculations behind a prediction model will empower you to make more informed decision making based on data driven insights. You will be able to apply the principals in this session to enhance the day-to-day work by enabling a more analytical approach to professional challenges. Analytics within the healthcare supply chain will only grow and learning about predictive analytics will equip individuals and organizations with powerful tools to navigate this increasingly data-driven world, enabling better decision-making and fostering innovation across our organizations.
